Product Design: EthiFinance website

DESCRIPTION

The existing EthiFinance website failed to meet user & team expectations and posed challenges in terms of maintenance and updating. Our goal was to create a modern, user-friendly platform that accurately represents EthiFinance’s identity and values while addressing the shortcomings of the previous site.

As the Product Designer and Manager, I played a pivotal role in driving the development of EthiFinance’s new website. Tasked with overseeing the strategy, the design and implementation process, I took charge of ensuring that the project aligned with the organization’s objectives and met user needs effectively.

  1. Research and Analysis
    • Conducted a comprehensive questionnaire distributed across the company to gather feedback on the existing website.
    • Utilized usability tests, including the System Usability Scale (SUS), to evaluate the user experience of our site and competitors’ platforms.
    • Conducted and analyzed a card sorting test (Maze) to optimize the site’s navigation and information architecture.
  2. Collaboration and Team Dynamics
    • Facilitated workshops with key stakeholders (Inception Workshop), including members of the executive committee, to define the project scope and requirements.
    • Led the search for a development agency, negotiated budgets, finalized specifications, and served as the primary point of contact for all project-related matters.
  3. Design and Prototyping
    • Designed wireframes and all prototypes for the website, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly interface.
    • Worked closely with the development agency to ensure seamless integration of design elements into the final product, facilitating a fluid delivery process.
  4. Technical Implementation
    • Selected the WordPress CMS platform for its flexibility and ease of use, ensuring future modifications can be implemented seamlessly.
    • Worked closely with the development agency to ensure that the technical aspects of the website aligned with our design and user experience goals.
    • Defined the necessary functionalities for future marketing optimizations of our processes
  5. Measurable Impact
    While the website is not yet live due to internal reorganization, we anticipate significant improvements in user satisfaction, streamlined content management processes, and a more polished online presence for EthiFinance upon launch.

In conclusion, my involvement in the creation of EthiFinance’s new website is extensive, encompassing strategic planning, meticulous design, and effective collaboration. I am confident that the new website will be a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences and reinforcing EthiFinance’s position in the digital landscape.
